Welcome to our small, friendly, family-run school!

We specialise in individual and small group Spanish classes in the beautiful city of Sucre.

Our professional language teachers have more than seventeen years of experience teaching Spanish to visitors. Whether you are a beginner and have never spoken a word of Spanish, or you have years of experience, we are here to help you improve.

Our main goal is to teach students how to understand and speak Spanish in a fun, enjoyable environment. We aim to help you immerse yourself in Bolivian culture and confidently travel and explore South America.

ABOUT

The Continental Spanish School was founded in 2011 and continues to be successfully run by Director and Owner María Elena Velasco Rosado.

Continental Spanish School is housed on the second story of a traditional Spanish colonial building in the heart of Sucre.

Our teaching philosophy is simple: we believe that grammar is the most important building block for learning a language. With good grammar, both spoken and written, you have the tools to converse naturally, enriching your travels and making real connections with local people.

While our classes are structured and progressive, we don’t believe in relying on textbooks and rote learning. Instead, our classes are fully dynamic, interactive and fun. Engaging the students through creative thinking, real-world situations and a strong grammatical understanding is the best way to learn a language for life. Our teachers are fully qualified and can teach all ages and all levels of Spanish - from complete beginners to advanced speakers.
